RIP, TinyLetter & Webs!🪦

Doomsday has arrived for TinyLetter newsletter. Now, I really don't know what to do. Had Vistaprint NOT shut down Webs, I'd still have my original website with my most loyal subscribers and built-in newsletter of 10 years. 

It wasn't until 4 years ago, that I created my own TinyLetter because Webs already had its own built-in website newsletter. Webs' engineers only needed to fix the software glitches.

Rather than having Webs' software fixed, Vistaprint neglected Webs and chose to shut it down. Thanks to Vistaprint's dumb choices, we're all screwed.

Vistaprint's dumb choices not only destroyed my Webs site and subscribers list, but also OTHER customers' websites. Paying customers used Webs for their own businesses, blogs, you name it.

Vistaprint replacing Webs' software with Wix means LESS customization and originality for those, who wasted money paying for Vistaprint's website builder.

Whichever template that customer chooses for their own website on Wix and now on Vistaprint's site builder unfortunately POWERED by Wix, it's one and done.

In other words, that customer is permanently STUCK with that same template he/she chose for the site's design. That sucks ass for those of us, who enjoyed decorating our own Webs sites for years.

During my years of customizing my site on Webs with their software, I was able to change my ENTIRE interface! That was probably the best part about Webs' software.

Yes, not only was I able to change the overall scenery for different seasons, holidays, and ANY occasion, but I was also able to change my entire interface.

If you think of the website interface and navigation bar in terms of band members, the interface is much like the bass player with his/her bass guitar.

For years, it's been a running gag in Rock music about how nobody cares about the bass player. Most bassists are ignored and discarded for the lead singer and/or guitarist in the band.

That's basically the interface with its navigation bar, when it comes to a website. Both help mold the look of a website.

Out of the HUNDREDS of websites I experimented with over the last several days to several years, I noticed that certain site builders MINIMIZED their interfaces as well as their navigation bars.

The navigation bars are so faint, they look invisible. Talk about giving navigation bars and interfaces the bass player mistreatment! 

Poor navigation bars, interfaces, bassists, and bass guitars. Why must you CONSTANTLY be ignored and discarded?

Some navigation bars on other websites pop out, while site visitors are browsing.

Years ago, I purposely changed my interface to have navigation bars that popped out on my Webs site.

Having navigation bars that pop out on a website can help add to the interface's appearance, template design or scenery, and the ENTIRE website.

Webs DID have its flaws. However, at least my navigation bars, interface, templates, and other website features were praised most of the time.

In fact, some envied the appearance of my site so much, they would purposely copycat off my work for their own vanity purposes.

Meanwhile, some were bitter and jealous CLASSISTS seething because I learned how to build my own website by watching YouTube tutorials and BUILT my own FOR FREE.

Only the most INSIPID elitist authors, bloggers, publishers, and other content creators with ZERO creativity, individuality, imagination, and personality usually nitpicked my original website.

Those of said ilk typically gave a quick compliment(s). Seconds later, they followed up their "compliment(s)" by saying, "Your site should look more professional."

In other words, they expected my website to look like the same vapid and cliché website consisting of the same repetitive WordPress design with BOOKS on a bookshelf. Zzzz! BORING!

This may come as a shock to some, if not to most "book lovers," but I was never a hardcore book lover.

Music, TV, especially MTV, and movies were my main hobbies and interests growing up.

Because most books barely resonated with me, I purposely chose to be a Creative Writer. I wanted to write stories and create characters that most people never fathomed.

Since I STILL have yet to find another website builder that resonates with my personality and content, please save or bookmark both of my Blogger pages.

Everyone on my TinyLetter newsletter mailing list was already saved in my e-mail contacts lists, last week.

At this rate, I will probably remain on my never ending quest to find a better replacement website builder for my content and subscribers!
