Cartoon Sunday: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable Music References

How's it going lurkers? Above is an illustration of the defeated Vampire Supervillain, Dio Brando with his Stand, The World.

Similar to characters from a Greek Tragedy, Dio's God Complex and his own hubris led to his demise. Over the last 2 decades, this antagonist had quite a few voice actors.

Dio Brando's Multiple Voice Actors In Japanese & English (2017):
Dio Brando was the type of supervillain you loved to hate. Because he was such a deplorable vampire, I already miss his wickedness. In order for a character to be a supervillain in entertainment, I believe Dio raised the bar high.

Last April, I published a Cartoon Sunday blog regarding Watch Mojo's Countdowns of Top Anime Villains. Dio Brando made it at least TWICE on those countdowns.

As a Vampire Supervillain, Dio was extremely psychopathic and sinister. I am surprised, that NONE of the late Ronnie James Dio's songs were used as opening or ending theme songs for Parts 1-3 of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise. After all, Dio Brando was named after him.

Call me biased but "Egypt" really should've been used as the ending theme song for Stardust Crusaders' "Battle In Egypt" Arc as opposed to "The Last Train Home". Ugh! It's like listening to depressing-sounding '80s Muzak.

Now that Dio is dead, it will be disappointing not seeing him in Diamond Is Unbreakable and the future seasons to come.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Golden Wind (Part 5) was in the works of being animated.

According to Anime News Network in June, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind is scheduled to premiere in Japan in 2 more months.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind Manga Gets TV Anime in October

Considering that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a Seinen Supernatural Action Anime, it's only fitting to have Golden Wind premiere this October.

Meanwhile, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable will premiere next Saturday night at 11:30 pm Central on Adult Swim's Toonami block.

{Toonami Promo}: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable (2018)

Diamond Is Unbreakable takes place in 1999.

Ahh, 1999. Before American Entertainment was corrupted by self-righteous, political "activist," celebutards, and political divisiveness in general like it has been, since the turn of the century.

Nearly 2 decades ago, a plethora of monumental incidents happened like Woodstock '99, for example.

In 1999, I was a notorious, 17-year-old girl full of "angst" and living a so-called "double life." No, I was not partying like it was 1999. It's amazing how much time flies. Well, I digress.

In Diamond Is Unbreakable, Jotaro Kujo will meet Josuke Higashikata. Josuke is the bastard son of Jotaro's grandfather, Joseph Joestar. What a twist! Honestly, I did not see that coming!

Because this is another blog about the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise, here are 4 previously published Cartoon Sunday blogs.

Cartoon Sunday: Christian Johnston Narrates Paul Ferruccio's A Creepy Ghost Hunting Story {Animated}

Image result for llama arts a creepy ghost hunting story pics

How's it going my gumdrops? As of yesterday, I managed to achieve a minor accomplishment. So far, my latest Song Saturday blog featuring Type O Negative's Banned cover of Seals & Crofts' "Summer Breeze" reached 285 page views and counting.

Yesterday's blog was shared with the Official Danzig fan page and Horror-Punks' official group page on facebook. My Song Saturday blog featuring Type O Negative was also shared on World of Anime, AnimeNation, Digg, and around Google Plus. Most of my viewership was from those 2 facebook group pages mentioned above.

At the same time, asshole moderators from Google Plus continue to strip my blogs from multiple Google Plus communities. It's amazing how people on that site can spam the shit out of our news feeds with pornographic videos and pictures but the moment I share my own content for exposure, texters on their phones are EASILY triggered and want to have me removed.

Judging by the looks of it, as I continue to hunt for other ways to share my content without using Google Plus, I am getting the impression that certain moderators around Google Plus continue to feel some kind of way about me sharing my content to certain Google Plus communities, again. It is ONLY a matter of time, until the asshole moderators censor my content again by blocking, blacklisting, demonizing, and suspending me and my account.

All the while, an opportunistic, social climbing copycat, who continues to monopolize other Google Plus communities that I belonged to long before she joined them is allowed to share her content without attempting to help me out of a bad situation.

More and more, I continue to miss the original Xanga where I didn't have to work so hard to generate blog traffic, and when I made top blogger multiple times. I would just like to thank all of those, who read my Song Saturday blog featuring Type O Negative's banned cover of "Summer Breeze," which is titled "Summer Girl."

In case you missed yesterday's Song Saturday blog, here it is once again.

Song Saturday: Type O Negative's Summer Girl {Banned Version Of Seals & Crofts' Summer Breeze}

If you missed last Thursday's blog with my explanation as to why I stopped blogging literally 4 MONTHS ago, you can read it HERE.

Speaking of hunting, I have a Horror Animated Short for Cartoon Sunday, which is about hunting. However, it is a different type of hunting.

Have you ever done any ghost hunting?

Never in my life have I ever ghost hunted. My house is already haunted. That's not including the death warnings my spirit guide sends me on occasion, as I try my hardest to escape the gravitational pull of this house.

After watching Paul Ferruccio's ghost hunting story (which was illustrated by Llama Arts and narrated by Christian Johnston), it reminded me of those stories I heard from friends and others about the Ouija Board.

Have you ever used the Ouija Board?

I never tried it, nor would I ever recommend it. Years ago, my friend's husband told me about the time he played with a Ouija Bord in his house. He claimed his "Fundamentalist Christian" mother stopped him from playing with the board and she began to pray over it. In the middle of praying, the cross on their wall sparked on fire.

Even though Paul Ferruccio's creepy story has nothing to do with using the Ouija Board, his ghost hunting story reminds me of my friend's husband's story. For today's Cartoon Sunday, here is Paul Ferruccio's creepy ghost hunting story.

Cartoon Sunday: Watership Down {DisturbingTrailer}

How's it going my gumdrops? As a quick reminder, I will NOT  be publishing any blogs for Song Saturday or Cartoon Sunday next weekend. For Easter, I will be taking a break.

Sometimes it is amazing how March can be about Saint Patrick's Day, then suddenly switch to being about Easter within a matter of days.

During the last part of last week, I had the hardest time deciding what to share for today's Cartoon Sunday. I wanted to share a creepy animated short. After all the searching I did, it appears that I found something, that actually creeped ME out. It left me with the feeling of "What the FUCK did I just watch?!"

Have you ever watched, much less heard of Watership Down? It was an animated film from 1978 named after Richard Adams' Fantasy Thriller novel of the same name. Never in all my years of living have I ever seen, much less heard of this G-rated movie.

Watching 3 1/2 minutes of Watership Down's trailer felt as if I was in the middle of watching a darkly humored, animated prank aimed at children. However, I don't believe Watership Down was meant for younger viewers.

You may ask "Anna, why do you think Watership Down is 'darkly humored'?"

You could say I am in disbelief, that such a movie was marketed for children to go see in movie theaters, 4 decades ago. Watching the trailer was like a horrific, animated trailer of Animal Farm except the movie is about rabbits.

It has been said that Watership Down was popular among adults, who attended late-night screenings in 1978. In addition, it is considered to be the most VIOLENT animated G-rated film to have EVER been made.

The British Board of Film Classification still receives complaints, 40 years after the release of Watership Down.

It is understandable that the late filmmaker, John Hubley (He died in 1977.) and Martin Rosen wanted Watership Down to personify and give their anthropomorphic depiction of Richard Adams' novel. All the while, the BBFC and MPAA really did NOT  take their target demographic more seriously.

Watership Down released literally 6 years before the United Kingdom and States began enforcing censorship, and before the launching of the PG-13 rating. In 1978, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) passed Watership Down with a 'U' certificate.

A 'U' certificate in the United Kingdom is similar to a Rated-G film in America.

I cannot speak for everyone else. Although, I find this to be not only hypocritical, but also appalling.

The BBFC, MPAA, media watchdog groups, and Christian zealots spent YEARS demonizing the Slasher Horror sub-genre and browbeating Slasher Horror filmmakers during the 1980's. It was to the extent, that more films went directly to video to avoid persecution.

And yet the BBFC and MPAA saw NOTHING wrong with Watership Down being an animated film meant for children?! That's outrageous!

That 40-year-old trailer was and still is too disturbing for younger viewers. Had I been alive to see the movie trailer for Watership Down, I probably would've been traumatized. This is coming from a Horror fan and a 35-year-old single woman with no children.

Watching the 1978 movie trailer made me feel disturbed. I can only imagine how incredibly disturbing the actual movie was for children and why it still causes so much controversy, 40 years later.

If Watership Down was going to be marketed towards minors, it should've been marketed towards teenagers. They would've been able to handle both the novel and film as opposed to traumatizing younger children in 1978.

It is understandable that children in other countries mature faster than American children. Anytime other people still have major problems with Watership Down supposedly being meant for children, that should say something.

Considering that I have been anti-censorship, since my youth during the 1990's, you may be wondering why I feel so strongly about Watership Down. Allow me to clarify.

I am NOT  trying to demonize the filmmakers. If anything, I am confronting the double standards and hypocrisy, that the BBFC, MPAA, and media watchdog groups set into motion decades ago.

More parents should use better judgment, when it comes to graphic content. Knowing their children's interest in entertainment should go without saying.

Maybe when I have more time out of my hectic schedule, I will try watching Watership Down. In the meantime, here is the disturbing movie trailer from 1978 for today's Cartoon Sunday.

Cartoon Sunday: The Gaffe Grant Wonley Made At A Bar In Ireland

Related image

How's it going my gumdrops? Did you enjoy celebrating Saint Patrick's Day yesterday? Hopefully, you enjoyed celebrating such a festive Irish holiday safely and NOT at the dangerous expense of others.

Other than sleeping in and doing the usual chores yesterday, I had nothing personally special planned. Does watching Black Clover, Stardust Crusaders, and Naruto Shippuden on Adult's Swim's Toonami block count?

Speaking of Saint Patrick's Day, Black Clover, and Toonami, it was a tad disappointing to discover, that Adult Swim planned NOTHING special for the block's 21st anniversary.

What would've been more logical? How about marathoning a series titled, "Black Clover" on Saint Patrick's Day for Toonami's 21st Anniversary? Hmmm... Such a hard decision there.

Considering that Cartoon Network originally launched the Toonami block on Saint Patrick's Day 1997, it would've been more logical to celebrate the block's 21st anniversary and Saint Patrick's Day with a Black Clover Marathon.

Yes, I know there are those Toonami fans STILL ranting about Black Clover being chosen over My Hero Academia for Adult Swim's Toonami block. Some are those same Toonami fans from last year, who are still ranting about One Piece being removed from the Toonami block and being replaced with Tokyo Ghoul.

RANT: Toonami Fans And Their Incessant Crying

Either way, you gain some, you lose some.

Even though Saint Patrick's Day is over now, there will still be a few more Irish themed blogs I will be publishing and re-sharing with you all for this month. There are ONLY 2 more weeks left in March. Hopefully, you have been enjoying these blogs this month.

Originally, I was going to share the link to Episode 1 of Black Clover today in English Dub. Then at the last minute, I changed my mind. Instead I thought I would share this hilarious animated documentary by Grant Wonley.

It is always best to learn about foreign countries, their cultures, customs, religions, and especially their social environments before visiting them. I have been saying this to friends and other people for the last 16 years.

People cannot always say and do whatever they want, whenever they want to whoever they want. This is especially when they are in foreign countries as VISITORS.

Grant Wonley's short animated documentary is a hilarious depiction of the time, when he visited Ireland. Wonley recounts the time, when he made a gaffe at a bar in Ireland.

Cartoon Sunday: BEWARE! The Curse Of The Banshee!

How's it going my gumdrops? Last night, did you remember to turn your clocks ahead 1 hour? Spring is coming around the corner, which is why it is best to be prepared to "SPRING forward."

BTW: If you have not already done so, make sure to like, subscribe, share, and +1 blogs from OMG, Anna! What's Going On?!

This can be done via facebook, Google Plus, Blogger, or other social media sites such as World of Anime. Otherwise, there is always subscribing by e-mail.

Also, for those who don't know how to find previously published blogs from my website, It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, all the blog links are currently in neon green font. You can't miss these links. I post links in bright bold colors to make them highly visible for everyone to see.

With that being said, here is yesterday's Song Saturday blog once again, in case you missed it.

Song Saturday: Primordial's Hosting Of The Sidhe {REVISITED}

Speaking of World of Anime, I was asked on the Anime-centric social media site about why I did not publish a blog specifically about International Women's Day.

Last month, I wanted to publish a blog about Women In Horror. Considering my hectic schedule offline with doing chores, attending doctor and dental appointments, and being a personal caregiver, there was not enough time.

Most people have no idea the amount of times I have backburned things I really wanted and needed to do both on and offline. I still have yet to return to revising and editing my own Short Horror Stories.

Let's also not forget, that I have published at least several blogs about women on here and It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns within the last week to 2-5 years. Therefore, me not publishing a blog about International Women's Day was nothing too severe.

Since we are on the topic of International Women at this very second, I will have you know, that if you clicked on my blog link about Irish Horror Folktales, I specifically chose to focus on WOMEN from those folktales.

Basically, I killed "2 birds with 1 stone" so to speak regarding the matter of International Women and Horror Folktales. That particular blog was linked inside of yesterday's blog above, in the bold neon green font.

In addition to those previously published blogs on OMG, Anna! What's Going On?! and It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, you can expect to see more blogs about women in Irish Horror Folktales.

This includes today's Cartoon Sunday blog about the banshee. The banshee was another woman, who was a part of Irish Horror Folktales.

In March 2016, I published a Song Saturday blog on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns explaining about her. However, I never shared a Cartoon Sunday blog about the banshee, until now.

Sapphire from Snarled shared an animated vlog enlightening viewers about such an appalling woman. Megan Matheson from Scotland told Sapphire in disturbing detail about her terrifying encounter in real life with the banshee. For today's Cartoon Sunday, be prepared to be creeped out.

Cartoon Sunday: Horror References In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure And The Roots Of Dio's Wickedness

How's it going lurkers? So, did you enjoy the ominous tones of Hayato Matsuo's compositions for Song Saturday? I enjoyed "Giwaku," which is "Suspicion" in Japanese. When it comes to horror, it definitely gave me creepy vibes.

After listening to "Suspicion," I imagined JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's super villain, DIO, Phantom Of The Opera, and ABC's 1966 Gothic Horror Soap Opera, Dark Shadows.

I don't know much about reading or playing musical instruments. Therefore, I won't pretend to know what exact notes were played in the preceding music scores.

You see, I got the short end of the stick; Everyone in my immediate family can play at least 1 musical instrument, whereas I only sang in choir for graduation requirements, during my youth.

Anyway, those low piano notes for Hayato Matsuo's "Suspicion" were as bone-chilling as watching Classic Horror Movie trailers from 3-4 decades ago.
During Matsuo's score, I could actually feel my blood running cold. This is coming from someone, who is a mostly desensitized Horror fan.

Speaking of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise and the Horror genre, I recently questioned some fans about the continuation of Stardust Crusaders.

Those, who have read my blogs and have been subscribed to me over the last 5 years, should recall the 3 Cartoon Sunday blogs I published, last year.

In the following blogs, I explained about the music references featured in Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, and Stardust Crusaders.

Cartoon Sunday: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood + Battle Tendency Music References

Cartoon Sunday: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Recap With Stardust Crusaders Music References

Cartoon Sunday: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders + Stands

According to some JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fans from AnimeNation, Hirohiko Araki was influenced by Bram Stoker's Dracula, while creating Phantom Blood. There is horror throughout this franchise. However, there is supposed to be more horror in the "Battle In Egypt" Arc for Stardust Crusaders.

Last year, Stardust Crusaders premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami block. Even though there is horror throughout the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise, catching all the horror references can be difficult.

There are so many music references, that they eclipse the horror references. Over the last several months or so, I managed to notice a few Stephen King references.

For example, Stardust Crusaders places a major emphasis on stands and stand users. Horror novelist, Stephen King published a Post-Apocalyptic Horror Fantasy novel titled, The Stand in 1978.

By 1994, ABC broadcasted the miniseries of the same name for viewers.

Jotaro's last name is most likely another King reference. Have you noticed, that Jotaro's last name is "Kujo"?

Because the character is Japanese, his last name is bound to be spelled differently in Japanese than the rabid dog's name in Stephen King's Psychological Horror novel, Cujo.

Also, did you happen to notice the red Plymouth Fury? You know that red, possessed car? In Stardust Crusaders, it is known as The Wheel Of Fortune Stand. That same stand somewhat resembles the red car in Stephen King's Christine.

Meanwhile, the stand, Yellow Temperance resembles The Blob from the 1958 Sci-Fi Horror film.

A few episodes before the "Battle In Egypt" Arc, a baby with fangs known as Mannish Boy, uses his stand, Death 13. Death 13 appears in Kakyoin and Polnareff's dreams.

Much like Freddy Krueger from Wes Craven's 1984 Slasher Horror film, A Nightmare On Elm Street, Mannish Boy tries killing them in the dreamworld.

With all this talk about horror, let's NOT  forget about the super villain Dio Brando, who is now known as simply "DIO."

If you look back at JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, it was already shown from the very beginning how incredibly evil and cunning Dio Brando was as a character.

Some may justify, that it was all because his father, Dario Brando, was an abusive drunk, who forced Dio into becoming a lying, power hungry, con artist.

It took for Dio to commit patricide (basically kill his own father), Dario to be free of him by poisoning Dario to death. Dio used that same poison to kill Jonathan Joestar's father, George.

Since the time Dio Brando poisoned his own father, he was overtaken by that ancient, South American stone mask.

Once blood flew on it, during Dio's soap opera brawl with Jonathan, the stone mask was activated. The ancient South American stone mask transforms the person, who wears it into a vampire.

After Dio Brando obtained the stone mask, he became not only a lying, power hungry serial killer, but also a man-whoring vampire.

With the resurgence of Dio in Stardust Crusaders, it is only fitting to return to the roots of his wickedness.

For today's Cartoon Sunday, lets take a look back at the root's of Dio Brando's wickedness in Phantom Blood.

The Roots Of Dio Brando's Wickedness In JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood (2012)

Cartoon Sunday: David Romero's Midnight Snack

How's it going my gumdrops? Before visiting OMG, Anna! What's Going On?!, you should NOT  let the disclaimer scare you. Because my content is not exactly "child-friendly," I use the disclaimer mostly for that reason.

I don't want or need someone, who is hypersensitive and/easily "offended" by the content I share, to be making a HUGE mountain out of a molehill on here OR on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns. This especially applies to those obnoxious, political and religious zealots and helicopter parents.

So far, it appears that more of you like my blogs better on Blogger than on Webs, which is always a positive. I like it better on here, too. Meanwhile, there are at least a few of you, who prefer my blogs on Webs than on Blogger.

If it weren't for the fact that, Webs has too many glitches and has no way for me to transfer all my content to Blogger, I would shut it down. I still have to do more experimenting with Blogger's features. Like I already said, It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns will remain live.

On another note, it appears that my predictions were right! Last October on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, it was already anticipated by some of us Tokyo Ghoul fans, that the Seinen Horror Action Anime would get a 3rd season.

Cartoon Sunday: Tokyo Ghoul A Rare Treat [The Handkerchief Scene]

Season 2 felt very incomplete. Sure enough, we were right about Tokyo Ghoul getting another season.

On October 8, 2017, I published a Cartoon Sunday blog. In that same blog, I predicted, that Tokyo Ghoul:re would premiere sometime during this spring in Japan. In the following blog link, my prediction can be found:

Cartoon Sunday: Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart [REVISITED]

Low and behold, my prediction was right! Anime News Network recently confirmed it.

Anime News Network: Tokyo Ghoul:re Casts Yu Kobayashi, Mamoru Miyano

Hopefully, the writing for Tokyo Ghoul:re will be closer to the Manga than the 2nd season of Tokyo Ghoul. When you read Tokyo Ghoul's Manga, if not the summaries about it, you will have a much better understanding of the Anime and its characters.

What You Didn't Already Know About Tokyo Ghoul's Characters

Since we're already on the topic of Horror Animation, I have another Horror Animated Short by David Romero. The last short I shared was on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns.

Cartoon Sunday: David Romero's Pine Devil

In David Romero's Midnight Snack, a homeless man seeks shelter, during a blizzard. The man runs into what would appear to be an abandoned apartment building. On the outside as well as within, it looks like a dump.

Speaking of the homeless man in David Romero's Midnight Snack, the homeless man looks VERY similar to the hunter in Pine Devil. Anyway...

After seeking shelter, the homeless man's stomach starts growling. This leads to him scavenging around the apartment for the closest thing to eat. In his case, he rips something out of the wall, then fries it for dinner.

The homeless man has no idea what he just ate. He ate something, that once belonged to a woman. Now, she is furious and out for blood.

Song Saturday: The Afghan Whigs' Gentlemen

How's it going my gumdrops? Gumdrops is what I normally call my subscribers and readers on my website, It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns. Is that alright with you? Let me know! If you would like to read all the previous blogs I published on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, simply click on this blog listing.

Speaking of It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns, I published a blog yesterday letting all my gumdrops (readers and subscribers) know, that I will be experimenting with a re-branding on Blogger.

Experimenting With A Re-brand On Blogger

As of today, this will be Blog #1 on OMG, Anna! What's Going On?! Normally, I publish Song Saturday and Cartoon Sunday blogs every weekend on It's Not All Gumdrops & Unicorns. If you are interested in these types of blogs, that I publish and would love to know why I publish them, click on the following link:

Why Do I Publish Song Saturday + Cartoon Sunday Blogs?

If it is possible these next 2 weekends, 2 Song Saturday and 2 Cartoon Sunday blogs with creepy love and possibly disturbing themes will be published for Valentine's Day. All those, who know nothing about me should know, that I am a Horror and Thriller fan, as well as a Horror/Thriller writer. Therefore, you can expect to see CREEPY content being shared in these blogs.

Speaking of creepy, are you familiar with The Afghan Whigs? The Afghan Whigs is an Alternative Rock band, that launched during the late 1980's. They managed to gain some mainstream exposure, during the 1990's. By the early to mid-90's, Grunge Rock was at its pinnacle. I don't really consider them to be a Grunge Rock band.

After listening to some of The Afghan Whigs' older songs, they seem more like an Alternative Blues Rock kind of band. During the mid-90's, I always heard of The Afghan Whigs, when I was in my pre-teens or "'tweens."

However, it was not until last year, that I actually saw their music video on MTV Classic for their song, "Gentlemen." Watching the vocalist, Greg Dulli, in their music video instantly gave me creepy vibes.

In fact, Dulli gave me creepy stalker/voyeuristic vibes in "Gentlemen." He somewhat reminded me of Greg from my short story, The Bill Collector. Greg is a nerdy, red-headed, sales clerk at an electronics store, who is obsessed with the customer, Alice. Greg is so obsessed with Alice, that he pretends to be a bill collector by stalking her beyond harassing phone calls.

You may be wondering, "What does your short story, The Bill Collector, have anything to do with The Afghan Whigs' 'Gentlemen'"?

Watch their music video for yourself and see how creepy Greg Dulli looks in "Gentlemen." With that being said, here is The Afghan Whigs' "Gentlemen" for today's Song Saturday.

Cartoon Sunday: David Romero's Pine Devil

How's it going lurkers? Do you remember last year, when I shared David Romero's "Other Lily"?

"Other Lily" was another Animated Horror Short by Romero that I shared last summer for Cartoon Sunday.

As long as NOTHING terrible happens next weekend, you should expect another Animated Horror Short by him for Cartoon Sunday.

Today I am sharing David Romero's Animated Horror Short, "Pine Devil." There is very little description about this animated short. However, if viewers watch "Pine Devil," they should be able to comprehend this silent animation.

According to a brief summary I read, a man kills what seems to be the so-called "Jersey Devil." All the while, the man attracts REAL trouble and becomes prey. Basically, the hunter becomes the hunted.

Anyway, here is David Romero's "Pine Devil" for today's Cartoon Sunday.

Cartoon Sunday: Elvira's Very Scary X-Mas

Merry Christmas Eve, lurkers! As a quick reminder, TBS will be premiering American Dad's 15th season tomorrow night.

Not only will tomorrow night's episode be a premiere, but also a Christmas premiere. Yes, it will be a new episode on CHRISTMAS. TBS deserves a gold star!

Speaking of animation and TV Christmas specials, did you know that in 2010, Elvira had an animated short for Christmas?

Earlier this month, I discovered her animated short on YouTube. It's amazing what you find online.

Hopefully, fellow Horror fans will enjoy it. I managed to stumbled upon a rare gem, that I never knew existed.

"Elvira's Very Scary X-Mas" is technically a Christmas Horror Stop-motion Animated Short.

With the help of the creators of Killer Klowns From Outer Space, the animated short was featured on her show, Elvira's Movie Macabre.

If you are a Gen 'Xer, Millennial, or an Xennial and watched Horror movies and shows during the '80s, then you should already know about Elvira. I don't expect younger adults and children (Generation Z) to know about Elvira.

Even though the so-called "Mistress Of The Dark" is on social media sites like Twitter, chances are highly great that younger Millennials and Gen Z barely know much about her, if anything at all.

Elvira was DECADES before younger Millennials and Generation Z's time.

In this Christmas Horror Stop-motion Animated Short for today's Cartoon Sunday, Elvira hunts for the perfect Christmas tree.

Cartoon Sunday: Mr. Nightmare's A Christmas Horror Story {Animated}

How's it going lurkers? There are literally ONLY 7 more days until most of us celebrate Christmas and only 4 more days until Pagans celebrate Winter Solstice.

Hanukkah began last Tuesday, December 12th and will be ending in 3 more days.

Have most of you finished shopping for presents? If not, this will be the LAST  week for you to do your shopping.

I keep saying "most" because as I have said many times over the last 3 years, Orthodox Christians do NOT  celebrate Christmas, until January 7th. This means they STILL will have ample time to finish all their Christmas shopping.

As a quick word of advice to the ladies, make sure to wear COMFORTABLE SHOES, while shopping at the stores. This excludes wearing high heel shoes. I wasn't even wearing high heels, last night and my feet were killing me. Without a doubt, my thighs and feet definitely got a full workout, last night.

After Christmas shopping at 2 MALLS for 4-5 HOURS (talk about burning calories) with my oldest aunt last night, I almost did not work on today's blog for Cartoon Sunday.

Speaking of which, I have another Animated Christmas Horror Short to share with you.

Have you ever witnessed a dark and creepy-looking figure at the bottom of your stairs, during the time of Christmas?

I can't say that I have. This is coming from someone, who normally sees the creepiest figures.

Like some other Animated Christmas Horror Shorts, Llama Arts adapted Mr. Nightmare's "A Christmas Horror Story" into another animated short.

Be prepared to feel a little disturbed after watching "A Christmas Horror Story" for today's Cartoon Sunday.

Cartoon Sunday: Clement Gore's The Krampus Night Before Christmas {Book Promo}

How's it going lurkers? So, how did you like Austin Dickey's collaboration with Into The Flood yesterday?

Today I have another animated short. It features Saint Nicholas' evil sidekick that punishes misbehaving children.

In 2012, Clement Gore published his book, The Krampus Night Before Christmas. Mitch Mommaerts produced the book promo for it.

Gore's promo was also illustrated by Gil-T and features Michael Goral as the narrator.

Clement Gore, Mitch Mommaerts, Gil-T, and Michael Goral should all be praised for their creativity and innovation.

With only 2 MORE NIGHTS left until Krampus makes his rounds to punish all the brats, here's the animated book promo for Clement Gore's The Krampus Night Before Christmas for today's Cartoon Sunday.

Cartoon Sunday Before Thanksgiving Day: Talkin' Turkey Talks Thanksgiving {Dark Humor}

How's it going lurkers? We now have ONLY 4 more days until Thanksgiving.

If you personally know me or at least paid attention to my content, then you already know or SHOULD know that I have a dark sense of humor.

The content in today's blog is living proof of it. Don't let that child friendly-looking illustration above fool you.

The animated short, "Talkin' Turkey Talks Thanksgiving" is not "child friendly." This darkly humorous short comes from The Jackal Group.

About 2 weeks or so ago, I discovered "Talkin' Turkey Talks Thanksgiving" through the YouTube channel, AOK. Without a doubt, AOK's content is meant for adult viewers.

On their channel, they claim to be "the home to hilarious topical animations and live action comedy sketches poking fun at everything from politics to pop culture."

When I originally watched "Talkin' Turkey Talks Thanksgiving" on YouTube, I could not help laughing. Last night, I re-watched this short, while drinking Spearmint Tea and almost did a so-called "spit take."

Now, if you happen to be a proud Vegan or a Vegetarian-eating, "Animal Rights Activist," and gets easily "triggered" by the political incorrectness, you may find this educational yet darkly humorous animated short to be OFFENSIVE.

"Talkin' Turkey Talks Thanksgiving" is violent, which was why I said it is NOT "child friendly."

While watching "Talkin' Turkey Talks Thanksgiving" for today's Cartoon Sunday, I highly recommend not eating or drinking anything. You could do a spit take like moi.

Cartoon Sunday: Noella Borie's The Face Shop

How's it going lurkers? Because we were celebrating my grandmother's 77th birthday at Red Lobster for lunch yesterday, I published Song Saturday 2 days ago.

Hopefully, MORE people remembered to thank veterans for their services, while celebrating Veterans Day.

Aside from celebrating my grandmother's birthday on Veterans Day yesterday, it's Cartoon Sunday. This animated short I'm sharing with you today was a short I meant to share last Sunday.

"The Face Shop" is a Dark Comedy Animated Short created by Noella Borie. Originally, "The Face Shop" was Borie's thesis film meant for children in May 2010.

The short focuses on the 11-year-old protagonist, Neil, who has no face. The protagonist's monster friend, Manny takes him to a face shop to help Neil find himself a suitable face.

When I watched "The Face Shop" a few weeks ago, it reminded me of the 3D Stop-Motion Dark Fantasy Horror film, Coraline.

Coraline [2009] Fan Made Trailer (2014)

In case you have never watched Coraline, it was based on the Children's Dark Fantasy novella by Neil Gaiman; If you've never watched Coraline, I highly recommend doing so. You will see some of "The Face Shop's" similarities.

Even though Coraline and "The Face Shop" were meant for children, adults can be easily attracted to both. This is especially if you are a fellow Gothic Horror fan.

Not only did I notice that the illustrations for Noella Borie's "The Face Shop" looks similar to Coraline, but it also looks abstract enough to pass as a potential animated short for Adult Swim.

Don't believe me? Watch Borie's graphically disturbing yet abstract Dark Comedy Animated Short for yourself.

Cartoon Sunday: Tokyo Ghoul JACK

How's it going lurkers? We now have only 2 more days until Halloween. Have you been enjoying your Halloween Weekend? Mine hasn't been the most exciting, I will say that much.

Because Adult Swim's Toonami chose to repeat the same Samurai Jack Marathon last night that already aired for Memorial Day Weekend, I dismissed it. The people, who run the network and the block, schedule the most idiotic programming.

Considering that last night was supposed to have been part of our Halloween Weekend, it would've been so much more logical to have a Stardust Crusaders or a Tokyo Ghoul Marathon than to re-air the Samurai Jack Marathon for a more infantile crowd.

On October 19th, which was 2 Thursdays ago, I watched Tokyo Ghoul: JACK.

Tokyo Ghoul: JACK Trailer (2015)

Like I mentioned in a previous Cartoon Sunday blog about the Tokyo Ghoul franchise, it has 2 OVA's. There is Tokyo Ghoul: JACK and Tokyo Ghoul: PINTO. Both OVA's are prequels except JACK is a prequel about Kisho Arima and Taishi Fura.

12 years ago in OVA 1 (JACK), both were high school classmates. Arima was an undercover ghoul hunter, who worked for The Doves. Meanwhile, Fura was a juvenile delinquent in high school.

Taishi Fura quit the baseball team to play hooky with his mischievous friends. That was until a ghoul wearing a Jack-O' Lantern as a mask, murdered 1 of Fura's friends and took his other friend's right eye. She became partially blind after being attacked.

To avenge his friends, Taishi worked with Kisho to hunt down the ghoul, Lantern. You may be wondering why the ghoul is called "Lantern."

To state the obvious, this ghoul wears a Jack-O Lantern as a disguise, even though her eyes glow red like the typical ghoul. This OVA definitely has some twists at the end.

All those bratty and obnoxious Toonami zealots, who love nitpicking the Tokyo Ghoul franchise should really take time to read the character summaries.

Reading the summaries for Tokyo Ghoul's characters gives a much better clarification than the actual Anime. When reading and listening to the summaries, they give you a better understanding of Tokyo Ghoul's premise.

What does Tokyo Ghoul: JACK have anything to do with the protagonist, Ken Kaneki?

While reading and listening to the character summaries about Kisho Arima, I learned that he was a hailed genius character within the CCG at 16 years old. In Tokyo Ghoul: JACK, you will have the chance to watch the mysterious character known as ARIMA work as a ghoul hunter with the CCG from his youth, then rising to the top.

Kisho Arima is more significant in Tokyo Ghoul than we EVER realized.

Throughout Seasons 1 and 2, the name, ARIMA was thrown around loosely. With Tokyo Ghoul having such a large cast of characters, it was difficult to ascertain who the real terrorists were in the series.

In the Tokyo Ghoul Manga, Kisho Arima takes the protagonist, Ken Kaneki (recently renamed "Haise Sasaki"), and becomes his mentor. Even though Arima mentors and trains with him, Arima is given orders to kill "Sasaki," if he loses his self-control as a ghoul.

Hopefully, Season 3 of Tokyo Ghoul will explain more about Kisho Arima next year, since he was last shown with Ken Kaneki in Season 2's finale. So much was left unfinished.

Then again, I was recently told by someone on AnimeNation, that Tokyo Ghoul's 2nd season was NOT canon. In other words, this last season we just finished watching was nothing more than a filler arc.

Because Season 2 was a filler arc, it is much better to read the Tokyo Ghoul Manga. Otherwise, you can always read the character summaries, which summarizes what REALLY  happened with every character in the story.

Hunting for the English Dub of Tokyo Ghoul: JACK was like pulling teeth. Since I could not find the OVA in English Dub, you will have to watch it in English Subtitles.

Anyway, here's Tokyo Ghoul: JACK for today's Cartoon Sunday.

Cartoon Sunday: Manuel Ferreira's "A Deadly Visit"

How's it going lurkers? As a quick reminder, next Saturday night, Adult Swim's Toonami block will be doing ANOTHER Samurai Jack Marathon for the so-called "Halloween Weekend."

[Toonami Promo]: Samurai Jack Halloween Marathon (2017)

If you're like me, you may be asking "What does another Samurai Jack Marathon have anything to do with Halloween?" Believe me, it doesn't.

It would've been more logical to air a Tokyo Ghoul Marathon. Then, follow it up with OVA 1, which is Tokyo Ghoul: JACK. At least it is a Horror Anime and OVA 1 has a Halloweenish theme to it.

Tokyo Ghoul: JACK OVA 1 Trailer [English Subtitles] (2015)

Tokyo Ghoul: JACK features a ghoul that wears a Jack O' Lantern over her head as a mask, while she's on her killing spree. I will explain more about OVA 1 next week for Cartoon Sunday.

Obviously, Jason DeMarco and The Toonami  Team don't know how to schedule their programming. The fans have been complaining about next Saturday night's schedule, since 2 weeks or so ago.

On another note, I thought I would share something a little different for today. If you have a fondness for Dark Humor like I do, you may enjoy today's animated short.

This animated short was created by a Portuguese teenage filmmaker, who goes by the name of Manusfilm Studios. His real name is Manuel Ferreira.

Ferreira claims that he loves "combining visual excellence with powerful storytelling."

The animated short, "A Deadly Visit" is a darkly humored animated short, which is in tribute to his late grandfather, Dom Zito. He died in 2015.

"A Deadly Visit" is about The Grim Reaper paying an 89-year-old lady, named Mary Ann a visit to her house. Watching him explain to the old lady, that he is there to "harvest her life" is hilarious.

Mary Ann is already deaf and wears hearing aids. She then offers The Grim Reaper milk and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Those Chocolate Chip Cookies she baked were highly irresistible to him.

Aside from Mary Ann treating The Grim Reaper like a special guest in her home, she starts justifying to him why she is not ready to die.

According to Mary Ann, she is supposedly a "good person." This 89-year-old lady claims to be a good person but is she REALLY? And the plot thickens, so to say.

Wait until you see what Mary Ann does to The Grim Reaper. Then, you be the judge for yourself. With that being said, here is "A Deadly Visit" for today's Cartoon Sunday.
