Song Saturday: VNV Nation's Darkangel

How's it going lurkers? It has been nearly 3 years, since I last published a Song Saturday blog featuring the Irish Industrial-Electro duo, VNV Nation.

Song Saturday: VNV Nation {Double Dose} (2014)

Since it is March and because Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner, these next 2 weekends will have Irish themes to them.

What better way to start today's Song Saturday than with an Irish, Industrial-Electro duo?

Generally speaking, it has been a while, since I last shared a little Industrial-Electro Music on here. It doesn't hurt to switch things up a bit.

As much as I love Rock and Metal, I still love Industrial-Electro Music. Maybe someday, Industrial-Electronica, Industrial Metal, and House Music will make their comebacks here in The Midwest.

This is AS LONG as someone like Rihanna, Katy Perry, or Taylor Swift does NOT  ruin another fun music genre and sub-genre like they already have in the past.

Anyway, to get into the Irish spirit, let's revisit the Irish Industrial-Electro duo, VNV Nation for today's Song Saturday.

Song Saturday: Thrill Kill Kult's Sexy Sucker (Juicy Mix)

How's it going lurkers? I seem to be experiencing a bit of deja vu. You may recall that I published a Song Saturday blog last year, featuring music from the Industrial Disco band, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.

Earlier, I did a blog search on the band and noticed something interesting. If you look at the date of that previously published blog, I published it on September 13, 2014. Wow!

Today's Song Saturday blog is another blog about My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult except today is September 12, 2015. Uncanny, isn't it? I think so.

Today I was also finally able to locate another remix of the band's song, "Sexy Sucker." It's the "Juicy Mix."

I have always enjoyed listening to "The Juicy Mix" version off  The Thrill Kill Kult's 1997 album, A Crime For All Seasons. The title of their remix is slightly different.

Rather than being called "Sexy Sucker (The Juicy Mix)," it is called "Sexy Sucker (Suck It Mix)."

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult reissued their 1997 album, A Crime For All Seasons in 2000. The band's 1997 reissue included a remixed version of "Sexy Sucker" and it was "The Juicy Mix."

"The Juicy Mix" is by far the best remix of the "Sexy Sucker" single, which also happens to be my favorite. Anyway, let's revisit My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult 1 year later for this Song Saturday.

Song Saturday: My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult Block

How's it going lurkers? What a week it has been. Since it is Song Saturday, I have some Thrill Kill Kult for today.

The band is actually called, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. They are an Industrial Disco band that originated from Chicago, IL circa 1987.

Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), which was co-founded by Tipper GORE, objected to Thrill Kill Kult's humorous and satirical references to Jesus, Satan, and sex in their lyrics.

By the early 1990's, the band changed their music to a more disco-oriented sound because of Tipper and the PMRC.

The Crow fans like yours truly may remember that Thrill Kill Kult was featured, during the shootout scene; They performed "After The Flesh" on stage, during Top Dollar's meeting/shootout with the late Eric Draven.

Today, the band continues to make music. So far, my favorite albums by Thrill Kill Kult are 13 Above The Night and A Crime For All Seasons.

Rather than giving a long history lesson about the band, I'll let you listen to some of my favorite songs by them.

1) Thrill Kill Kult "Delicate Terror" 13 Above The Night (1993)

2) Thrill Kill Kult "China De Sade" 13 Above The Night (1993)

3) Thrill Kill Kult "Dimentia 66" 13 Above The Night (1993)
4) Thrill Kill Kult "After The Flesh" (Sinister Mix) Sinister Whisperz II: The Interscope Years (1992-1996)

5) Thrill Kill Kult "Blondes With Lobotomy Eyes" A Crime For All Seasons (1997)

6) Thrill Kill Kult "The Twilight Web" A Crime For All Seasons (1997)
